Varicose veins are an occurrence that may happen to anyone. These can appear as a result of lifestyle, diet, and even genetic factors, but this does not stop them from becoming an embarrassing mark for any individual. At Sutton Place Laser Vein Care, we have a number of clients who come in with questions about how to address this issue.
One of the biggest concerns that our clients voice is often health related. Although some appearances of varicose veins can be related to deeper issues of circulation, this is not always true. Most of the time, varicose veins are the result of lost elasticity, and spider veins can simply be small capillaries that burst naturally through age. Once clients have been educated as to these causative factors, the next big question is how to remedy the issue.
People have an understandable apprehension over procedures which may involve surgery or other invasive methods of remedying spider veins and varicose veins. Depending upon the extent of the blemishes, there are both minimally invasive and non-invasive methods of addressing the issue. For clients who suffer primarily from spider veins, we will usually recommend the route of sclerotherapy, although this method is also highly effective for surface varicose veins as well.
With sclerotherapy, a small needle is used to inject a chemical into the protruding vessel. This FDA approved method helps to draw the vessel back in on itself, and as a result, the protrusion is minimized. Further, as the vessel retracts, it also eliminates the discoloration that may be seen from the blood pooling under the skin, and this addresses the two most prominent aspects of spider veins and varicose veins.
Since the procedure is non-invasive, it also means that clients are able to resume regular lifestyles almost directly after treatment. While a few visits may be required for optimal results, positive effects can be immediately witnessed. Many of our clients are amazed at how simple this is, and wonder why they have put off regaining self-confidence and a regained sense of beauty for so long.
Making The Leap
Although every client does have specific considerations, we will address these during initial consultations to the procedure. We generally recommend that clients contact our NYC office in order to schedule an appointment, where all of these details may be addressed and the best course of action can be found. Just as the procedure is simple, so is the motivation for finding a solution.
